I was a little dissapointed with the quotes from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Usually A Song of Ice and Fire has some really good quotes, but these are just sort of good. Still kinda cool if you try and think of some of the deeper meanings to them.
“The snail may leave a trail of slime behind him, but a little slime will do a man no harm, while if you dance with dragons, you must expect to burn.”
― A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
“A great battle is a terrible thing,” the old knight said, “but in the midst of blood and carnage, there is sometimes also beauty, beauty that could break your heart.”
― A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
“all men are fools, and all men are knights, where women are concerned.”
― A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
I like these! Especially the snail and the dragon one.

Dragons leave a trail of blood and ash. Certainly agree with the last one. If there’s anything from this season, it’s that most men know nothing.
I completely agree that the dialogue has been poor for the last few seasons. They’re nobles, nobles do not use colloquial sentences. I miss GRRM’s writing.
