Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s post was supposed to be about cover redesigns I loved but honestly I don’t know of many, so I thought I’d change it a bit and just show you some of my favourite book covers that I’ve seen.
I really love the simplistic concept art and the lettering on this cover. It makes it feel very Greek and ancient just by looking at it.
Honestly I am not too sure what I like about this cover, other than the awesome use of orange. Orange is definitely an underrated and underused colour, but it looks awesome here.
This one speaks for itself. The simple neck being covered by the words Dracula casts a very strong message and I love how simple it is.
Another fantastic use of orange, and I really enjoy the lack of context or any real design on this cover. You can tell it’s dust, but there isn’t much more to it than that.
I’m a big fan of the hammer and it’s very fancy design. If you know Norse Mythology some of the things on the cover would mean something to you, which is a big reason why I enjoy it so much.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Don’t think I need to say anything else do I? I mean it’s dope, awesome, cool, and I love it.
This one is sort of a representation of all One Piece Manga covers. I just like how they show the different characters in the specific arc, and it gives us a but of colour to their designs too, which we usually only get in black and white.
Simple. Humorous. Straight to the point.
I love the quotes being “hidden” by the clouds, and the chalkboard style writing is kinda funky and different.
I love the mystery in this one. There’s a dark figure in the background and an eerie green tinted stone wall that doesn’t answer any questions, but instead makes you ask questions.
