Usually there’s a specific list of what Top 10 I’m supposed to be talking about today. For most of the other blogs you’ll see doing the Top 10 Tuesday, they’ll be talking about their favourite tropes in books.
If you are interested in doing a Top 10 Tuesday in the future please feel free to check it out. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
I wrote a post similar to this a few Top 10 Tuesdays ago, so I didn’t really want to explore that again just yet. I figured instead that I’d tell you some of my favourite Youtubers or Twitch streamers so you can know what kind of stuff I watch.
Surprisingly, none of these people are “booktubers” because I haven’t found one that I enjoy watching. Most of them are a bit too boring or don’t cover the books I like, but that’s just me.
So without further ado, here is my list.
The YogsCast
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH-_hzb2ILSCo9ftVSnrCIQ
There’s a whole network of YogsCast members, and I love their group dynamic. You can often find the main channel playing GTA or Trouble in Terrorist Town, all the while giving you some good entertainment and a few laughs along the way.
TheMadCat
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG7RkUBdinVa1YjWSJcucog
If you like the YogsCast, I suggest looking up MadCat. Often creating compilation videos, you’ll probably end up laughing too much that your sides will start hurting.
Tickiwaw
https://www.twitch.tv/tickiwaw
The first of two Twitch channels I try to catch on a regular basis, Tickiwaw streams mainly art, but some video games now and then. He loves interacting with his viewers, and I’ve never found a more welcoming Twitch audience either.
Crash Course
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX6b17PVsYBQ0ip5gyeme-Q
Educational and funny. This is a necessary channel to follow if you like history or thinking about different issues in the current world. I definitely recommend their European and World History videos.
Cinema Sins
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYUQQgogVeQY8cMQamhHJcg
Hilarious movie critiques. What more do I need to say? Definitely worth the watch if you like movie critiques of current and older movies.
Rant Cafe Anime Podcast
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-HAwls_ET6oUtRQSdZHOYQ
A group of guys discussing all things anime. It’s both insightful and funny, and helps me fill the holes in my anime watching that I just don’t have the time to do. These guys are on YouTube and Twitch, but I don’t catch them often on Twitch.
Tekking101
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRdyjE3lE7dtCOxU4rTsXVA
Another anime man, and often featured on the Rant Cafe channel, Tekking is literally a walking One Piece Encyclopedia. He could tell you almost anything you ever needed to know about it, and since I am such a big fan of One Piece, his channel is a must for me.
CatVideos
https://www.twitch.tv/catvideos
The second and final Twitch channel on the list. Cat is also an art streamer and is very talented. She has a smaller following, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a terrific painter. Check out her channel for a good laugh and some weirdly deep conversations for an art stream.
Super Beard Bros
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl84oPPKuECe1PbIwDSN1Cg
Three guys, all with beards, playing games. They seem like the best of friends and they are absolutely hilarious. They don’t often play mainstream games, but if you’re in the mood for a more classic game, these guys are where you should go.
Sidemen
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDogdKl7t7NHzQ95aEwkdMw
A bunch of UK YouTubers and celebrities joined together to make a channel together. Usually they throw off the “dudes being bros” vibe, but they’re often pretty funny and ridiculous.
