Review Policy

Hello, dear readers!

Surprisingly, I have been getting a decent amount of requests to review books, and I figured it was time to create a page for my Review Policy, as well as what my star ratings might mean.

I AM NOT CURRENTLY accepting requests for review. I am happy to read finished and unfinished copies of books, and proofreading services are available as well.

Email is the best way to accept your book, or a physical copy. Contact for any requests. Please include:

  • A summary of your book
  • Preferred timeframe

Other than my blog, I generally post my reviews on Goodreads, Twitter, and Amazon.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

5 Stars:
A five star rating is a book that invoked some form of emotion for me. I have to really connect with the characters and love the plot. It also has to be a book that I will continually recommend and also talk about it because it left such a good impression.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

4 stars:
A four star rating is a book that I liked but didn’t love. It is one I would still recommend and talk about but not as much as a five star. I liked the characters and the plot but one or the other was lacking a bit.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

3 stars:
A three star rating is a book that was decent but it is one that won’t stick with me. I don’t know if I would continue the series. I either liked the plot or the characters but never both. There were interesting plot twists but not enough to make me like it. It is one I most likely won’t talk about unless asked.

Rating: 2 out of 5.

2 stars:
A two star rating is a book that really wasn’t for me. It lacked in a lot of areas when it came to the plot and characters. I didn’t connect with either. It was too slow paced. I would not recommend it and won’t think about it again.

Rating: 1 out of 5.

1 stars:
A one star rating is a book that was just bad in my opinion. I really disliked the characters and the plot. There were too many issues with the plot and the characters were under-developed. I would not recommend it and won’t give it another thought.
